Fight Quest Review - Out on DVD now (4 discs - 13 shows - 552 minutes)
This is propably the ultimate dream for hardcore martial artists to travel the world and test their skills in combat with
as many different styles as possible. Better still imagine having the Discovery Channel pick up the tab and mop your blood too. Two Americans
Jimmy Smith and Doug Anderson one an ex war veteran and the other a professional MMA fighter take up the challenge and
believe me after watching this series these are certainly challenged.
The storyline is the guys bascally go to a country find the toughest, meanest martial arts school get the top masters to
train with for five days and then come back and take on the best local fighers of that art.
The protocol is they have to
fight in that style too and as you can imagine they are always at a disadvantage against home crowd. Jimmy and Doug never
get enough time to prepare and are always thrown into the deep end and show emence courage with some formadable fighters
who are looking for blood. They are constantly knocked down and keep getting up and thats just in their training, the
fights are very full on. My favourites and I have a few, the Krav Maga in Israel stands out with its zero to hero fighting strategy against all
comers including multiple attackers and the San Da fighters of China. Every country has an exciting journey that makes me
want to viisit them as well but I'm not sure if I would like to take on the top fighters of the region though...
So if you miss out... Dont worry, you can buy it in your local DVD store. |
